Anybody Have Advice About Travel Insurance?

I am an American, planning a 3 1/2 month trip to Asia. I am looking for insurance that primarily covers medical emergencies. Trying to find something that is a good value (not necessarily the cheapest, but covers A lot without being overpriced).
Anyone have any advice. Have you had to actually use your insurance on trips? How well did it cover you, and how easy was it to use?

Use comparison websites to help you find the best deal.
One of the most important things that you can make sure of, is that the insurance policy covers you if you need air-transport to a hospital. This can be incredibly expensive, and having a high cover on this is vital.
Other than that, make sure it covers you for things that you want to do (Most won’t cover things such as quad biking, water sports etc as standard.) and that it’ll cover you for valuable possessions such as your camera, laptop etc.
I took out a 3 month one for when I went to Asia and it cost me about 45GBP, so you should be able to find similar prices
Also try and find one that’ll pay bills for you direct at source rather than allowing you to claim your money back afterwards.

I shall start by disclosing that I am a travel insurance professional. We offer over two dozen travel insurance plans.

Yes, over the years we have had to help clients through various incidents (from simple colds, hospitalizations, and loss of lives). These plans are offered through US companies and BBB listed; so, you should be assured about the plan.
