Can I Claim For A Car Accident?

I was hit by a driver who I got the registration number and her name and address. My insurance company passed it over to a solicitor that they use, but somehow gave them the wrong Registration number. I have told them the correct one but they are now saying to claim through the MIB, they say they only deal with untraceable accidents. Where can I turn to, I and my husband had whiplash and the travel costs for the treatment have amounted to over £200. Does anyone actually know where I stand. Should I just get all the medical information from the solicitor and find a new Solicitor

YOU’re in the UK right? If so this is easy – get a lawyer.
If you like go to one of those “no win, no fee” ones.

You need a Solicitor to push this forward. Sounds odd that your Insurance company will not claim for you as that is what we pay them for.
    Who are they?
