Since when did tour guides and busdrivers start demanding tips? We bought a $95 bus tour of SF that was scheduled for 3 hours but lasted 5 hours thanks to traffic and the driver. The driver had the nerve to ask us for a 20% tip or as he would put it "Tip us

I've been looking on several websites for some free travel guides/brochures on countries that I was interested in traveling to. So far I have only found information on pre-made tours and tour information and travel agents. I wanted actual guides/brochures of the country I wanted to visit. I prefer if you would
I was asked to photograph a 3-month trip around Asia and Africa and I have NO idea where to start researching information as far as travel photography. ANY advice would be great as far as equipment, guides, personal travel advice, etc.
Should I get Lonely planet guides or the rough guide? Price is not a problem, I just need updated information as well as how comprehensive it is. Or is there any other guides that has this information?
I am doing a travel guide for Social Studies. I also have to right a letter to my "grandpa/ma". I need the answer quick!

I'm Travelling South East Asia, Oz, Fiji, Hawaii and LA. I would like to have travel guides that I can put on to my Ipod instead of books when travelling due to weight and space.
Any suggestions? Free would be great but not the determining factor.
