Since abortion and Birth control are funded by taxpayers . . . do you think that should fertility treatments as well?
Do you think “pro-choice” is a two way street?

No because firstly it is too expensive, and not reliable enough (ie, most people need it more than once) and only benefits a tiny portion of the population compared to birth control and abortion.
What does the last sentence mean? It makes no sense.
Plus, having children is not necessary. It is an option. One that if free, tonnes of more people would simply decide to do, and use up all the money that has to be shared out between more important things.
That’s why expensive cancer drugs are not given to people with cancer. Because the money needs to be used for the whole population. Not just them, unfortunately. And 500 people could be treated for something else for the cost of their supplying them with 1 medication.
I don’t think ANY of the above should be covered by taxpayers.
“I cannot undertake to lay my finger
on that article of the Constitution
which granted a right to Congress of expending,
on the objects of benevolence,
the money of their constituents.”
James Madison
(1751-1836), Father of the Constitution for the USA, 4th US President
I don’t think any of them should be funded by my tax dollars. People need to be able to take responsibility for their own actions. If you want a baby, make it happen “ON YOUR OWN”, and if you do not want a baby then do the responsible thing “ON YOUR OWN”.
Really good question. Obviously, fertility treatments are much more expensive than birth control or abortion, but morally, I believe that technology should be provided to those who require fertility treatments.
