TravelEx covers for pre-existing coditions if you purchase 21 days in advance. Their TravelMax product is pretty good for pre-existing too. If you just want the medical component do a quote with a zero trip cost and it will give you just medical coverage. I’ve included a link below to the online quote system. Happy travels!

you should have the EHIC if going to Europe – but it is not a substitute for travel insurance. For example, it won’t pay the costs if you need to be repatriated, nor will it give you anything except basic medical care in a state hospital of the European state.
Most insurance companies won’t cover the pre-existing medical condition. Best is to ring them and explain the circumstances, and see what they say.
Get yourself a European Health Insurance Card!!
If you are a UK resident then the European health insurance card is essential if you are travelling in a European Union country, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland because it provides you with reduced cost or sometimes free medical treatment.
Yet the UK government, or the NHS do not appear to actively promote this card at this peak time.
You can sign-up for the card online, https://www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/home.do
or telephone 0845 606 2030
