    Whatever your reasons for going abroad, you may be entitled to medical care at reduced cost or sometimes free. Your entitlement will vary based on whether you’re going to an European Economic Area country (EEA) or elsewhere in the world

    You don’t get insurance to cover it – the whole POINT of going overseas, is faster, better, cheaper medical care – on a CASH BASIS.
    Leaving the country for medical care, is only for the rich.

    You just get travel insurance. As long as you’re not expecting the surgery, etc.. to be covered you’re fine.
