think doctors are “greedy”? I mean really. Because I know a few doctors and not one are greedy and not one have five houses or anything else.
The majority of the money in the medical field goes to the insurance companies and the government NOT the doc’s.
The average doc spends 12 years in medical school. So if people want free care then why don’t they go to school for 12 years?
They work approximately 75 hours a week. And by the time they pay on their student loans average min. monthly payment is $3500. Yes that is three thousand five hundred dollars a month. After spending 12 years in MEDICAL school that is NOT cheap.
Plus an additional $500-600 a month for classes and seminars they are REQUIRED by law to take that comes out of their pockets and they have to make the time for the classes and travel expenses and in addition books when they are required. And the books cost by far more than college text books.
I know there are those that say hey they get to write that off in taxes…hummm you do realize that writing it off only gets the taxes they paid back and nothing else don’t you?
So by the time they do this and pay higher taxes than the people complaining their salary is on the average of $28.76 an hour. AND they are greedy?
Not to mention the high insurance they have to carry because of stupid law suites and not to mention the Greedy people that refuse to pay because they shouldn’t have to pay for a service. How would you like to go to work and be told you only get paid for 2 days out of the 5 day work week and then some **** head tells you you make to much?!
My friends that are doctors don’t have five houses and very few doctors do. And even if they do so what they earned it! But I’m sure it would be ok if you had five houses. My friends drive Kias and I’m sure there are a quite of few of you driving BMW”s and Lexuses while calling them greedy. Not all but most! The days of doc’s making money are gone.
So why are these extremely greedy people calling doc’s greedy? I just don’t get it!

They’re holding doctors to unrealistic standards, that’s why.
Everyone likes to think of their doctor as a diligent man who works very hard to help people.

Docs go to school for a LONG time, so whatever they make i’m sure they deserve.. and btw I dont think they’re greedy so “everyone” doesn’t

we know things happen but $137 to see a dr is too high for alot of ppl….thank God my physical was all covered. It was worth over $1300

It’s not necessarily greedy but most doctors flaunt their wealth in ways to make other people look bad. Ex: buying really expensive cars just because and buying houses where all the rooms are not even in use…I feel if your going to be making all that make do something productive with your change
My Bfs dad is a doctor. he works his butt off and pulls 24 and sometimes 48 hour shifts. Also they pay a lot for insurance so morons don’t sue them over dumb crap. well also doctor salaries vary but they make about 60$ an hour which is fair considering the schooling, time, stress and amount of work they do on their jobs. (most doctors not all) Also they deal with ALOT of crap from insurance companies telling them how to do their job or patience trying to get meds out of them.

I’ve dealt with many doctors, while it’s true, some lead rather humble lives, I’ve found a majority tend to flaunt their wealth by purchasing homes 5 times bigger than what they really need, and fancy cars to make a statement….if you’re in a profession where you make $200k a year and up, it doesn’t look good to flaunt that to the people that pay for services, particularly when the majority are lucky to make 1/4 that income in a year.
I won’t say that they are greedy but some of them sure as **** don’t earn the pay they get. When you leave them you still as sick as when you came in and they can’t even tell you what is wrong with you and they went to school to learn the human body parts and how they work or don’t work. So you pay your co pay or the full pay if you have no insurance and go home with a book full of rx to mask the problem for a while then you come back next mth to repeat the same cycle. Not to critisize all docs but I had one to answer his cell phone while I was on his table and gave the person medical advise over the phone on my time and money and when he hung up he didn’t even apoligize and also forgot why I was there,so rude. So depends on what type of doc you talking about the ones I know are well off maybe they don’t have five cars but they living pretty comfortable. Oh yeah this one is real funny I once had a doc in the ER diagnois me from 50ft away without even touching me and had the nerve to send me a bill.LOL
