I used travelex and paid around $90 for over 2 months of coverage! It’s very affordable and essential when traveling to Latin America! It was totally worth my money since I was hospitalized and had to pay about 100 in hospital bills. I kept the receipts and was able to file my claim when I returned home!

It is very cheap and you should definitely have it. However, many countries in Latin America have good hospitals that are very cheap if you actually had to visit one, but you should have some sort of traveler’s insurance in case something big were to happen.
