Plastic Surgery In Asia Is It Extreme Or Are They Just Trying To Improve?

People probably heard that nose jobs are popular in countries like Iran and in countries like China surgery to make your eyes rounder is popular. Do you think it is extreme? I have no problem carrying about your looks and watching your weight. But I was curious if you thought the above plastic surgery was extreme. Or maybe nose jobs to make a straighter nose is fine but surgery to make your eyes round is extreme?

Like China? Have you look at the statistic? The majority of Asians who do plastic surgery are Japanese, Koreans and Taiwanese. Mainland China, in terms of plastic surgery, ranks below 40th. I wouldn’t consider China as a plastic surgery country. It seems more accurate for Americans, where they rank #2 for Plastic Surgery. In short, Caucasians do the most plastic surgery in the world, along with Europeans.
But to answer your question, it’s the same reason why anyone does plastic surgery. Even though I’m anti-plastic surgery, I don’t think it’s anyone’s business if someone went under the knife. People are not happy with their appearance, therefore, cosmetic surgery is their only option. They basically want to be beautiful and live a better life in this judgemental world we call “Earth”.
If you notice, there are many disadvantages for average or below average looking people. They’re constantly criticized for their appearance and if they want a certain job, they’re not likely to get it because of their appearance. That’s why many people go under the knife. Their purpose is to have more confidence and a better life.

What is the difference? They are both modifications of what nature gave you. I have no moral issue with plastic surgery, but it is what it is. Don’t call one acceptable, and another not.
edit: To answer that question, no. I see no difference. It is all the same, modifications to your natural self in order to conforn to a societal expectation of beauty. Again, take with that I am not opposed to plastic surgery. (I have an account to save up for boob job). But I still feel like no matter what the modification, you are still trying to fit into a standard of beauty. Even look at hair dye, make-up, earrings. It is all the same. Changing your natural state to conform.

Any plastic surgery that isn’t necessary to improve your actual quality of life (and, no, bigger eyes or a straighter nose doesn’t improve anything) is extreme and unnecessary.
