What Can I Do? Can I Sue? Make A Claim?

I have injured my spine (slip disk) during work. I took a medical leave and was taken care of by the insurance and the company gave me short-term disability. I opted for non-surgical procedure (PT) and it seem to work. However, the company asked me to return to work after the PT sessions. I was fine. But, traveling and sitting for more than 9 hours in the plane, my back hurts again. I am afraid of what may happen, and I might lose my job, and then my income. What should I do?

I agree with everyone else. Talk to an attorney.
If you’re in the state of Washington, the SOL (Statue of Limitations) is 3 years for personal injury. That means that if you would like to make a claim (and possibly sue), it must filed within 3 years. Otherwise, it will be considered “closed” and you can never bring it back up (even if you’re still experiencing pain).
I would recommend Tyler K. Firkins.

You should inform your employer maybe reasonable accommodations could be provided for you like better seats, job transfer, meeting doctor’s appointment, etc.
You may consult an employment lawyer to advise on the legal aspect of your case. You may also ask your doctor for help on ways how to prevent your injury from getting worse.

Sounds like you should talk to a medical lawyer to see if you have a claim. Why are you asking here? This is not the place to be asking such legal questions. Talk to a lawyer.

Depends. Was it the company’s negligence that caused the injury?
