Why do we need travel insurance to cover us for medical care whilst on holiday, when european union operates this so called reciprocal system so that who ever is in who evers country can get the medical care they need. Foreigners come here and get all sorts of NHS care so why do we have pay if we need medical care abroad?

I don’t know about you Brits, but as an American, I regard extra insurance as extra revenue for the insurance companies.
